Ready to Order a Chevy EV? Here’s What to Look For

Chevy’s lineup of electric vehicles (EVs) is not only one of the best around, but it’s also growing to include a wide range of options. Whether you’re looking for a sporty and nimble hatchback, a family-friendly SUV, or a powerful pickup, Chevy has you covered with an EV option that will deliver everything you need. As your Chevy EV dealer, we here at North Park Chevrolet are incredibly pleased to be able to offer all of these fantastic vehicles, though we should mention that you can’t get all of them just yet. more More than half of the Chevy EV lineup is only available for preorder or reservation right now and won’t be hitting the road until next year. That still gives you two great options you can find at the moment, and if you can wait, putting in an order right now is the perfect way to ensure you can get one of the first new Chevy EV models in 2023. If you’re unsure which model is right for you or what’s available now or in the near future, then we’re here to help. Let’s take a look at the Chevy EV models you can buy and reserve right now to see what’s available. The Chevy Bolt EV The oldest model that’s still a part of Chevy’s EV lineup, the Bolt EV set the pace for what was to come and demonstrated the kind of innovation we’ve come to expect from these vehicles. While it’s been through quite a few changes, the Bolt EV provides a great option that’s fun to drive, completely electric, and starts at a very accessible price. This will likely remain the entry-level EV model in Chevy’s lineup for quite some time and yet you still get nearly 260 miles of range from a full charge and it can go from 0 to 60 in just 6.5 seconds. Inside the Bolt EV, you’ll find a gorgeous 10.2-inch infotainment display with knobs and buttons for simple controls to make it easy to adjust things while driving. You can charge the Bolt EV at home through Level 1 (120v) or Level 2 (240v) charging or charge even faster at a public station. The 2023 Bolt EV is available right now and starts at just $25,600, which is nearly $6,000 lower than last year’s starting price! The Chevy Bolt EUV If you like the design and performance of the Chevy Bolt, but you’re looking for something a bit different, or you prefer the functionality of an SUV, then the Bolt EUV is a perfect choice. This is an “Electric Utility Vehicle” built on the same platform as the standard Bolt EV, so it delivers a similar driving experience. Since it’s a bit larger, with an SUV shape rather than the Bolt’s hatchback design, it gets up to 247 miles of range from a full charge and can go from 0 to 60 in 7.0 seconds, but otherwise, it is quite comparable. The Bolt EUV was Chevy’s first effort in developing an electric SUV, though two more are on their way. It quickly reached the market since it shares much with the Bolt EV. Features inside are quite similar between both Bolt models; the EUV has a fantastic infotainment display and great tech and safety features for you to enjoy. Chevy’s innovative Super Cruise technology, which allows for a true hands-free driving experience on compatible roads, is also available on the Bolt EUV. The 2023 model starts at just $27,200, which is a bit more than the Bolt EV, but more than $6,000 less than last year’s model. The Chevy Silverado EV Although the Bolt EV and EUV are available right now, these next three options won’t hit the road until sometime next year, so keep that in mind. The Silverado EV is Chevy’s first all-electric Silverado, and we’re incredibly excited to be able to offer everything it will bring to the road. This model is built using GM’s new Ultium battery platform, showcasing everything that GM’s engineers learned in developing the GMC Hummer EV over the last couple of years. All of this comes together to make the Silverado EV a truck unlike any other. With its all-electric performance, the Silverado EV will get more than 660 hp and 780 lb-ft of torque using its Wide Open Watts system. This is essentially an electronic launch control feature that allows the Silverado EV to go from 0 to 60 in just 4.5 seconds, though it will still be able to get 400 miles of estimated range from a full charge. All of this comes together to create a hard-working pickup that offers performance, unlike anything we’ve seen in a Chevy truck. At the moment, you can reserve your Silverado EV and it’s set to be available in Fall 2023, but it will certainly be hard to find without a reservation. The Chevy Blazer EV If you’re looking for more of a conventional electric SUV, the upcoming Chevy Blazer EV should definitely be on your list. Considering how popular the Blazer has been with so many drivers, it’s no surprise that Chevy has chosen to make it one of their flagship EV models. It looks to be an absolute beauty that delivers gorgeous style, bold and exhilarating performance, and excellent range, all in a sophisticated SUV package. GM estimates a range of up to 320 miles from a full charge and can go from 0 to 60 in less than 4.0 seconds. The interior of the Blazer EV looks incredible, with an 11-inch driver information screen and a 17.7-inch infotainment display for an amazing driver experience. A hands-free start system means you can simply get into the Blazer EV, tap the brake, and hit the road instantly. What a lot of us here at North Park Chevrolet are excited about is the SS trim that Chevy recently announced. It's designed to live up to the legacy of these two letters; the Blazer EV SS will feature 22-inch wheels, Wide Open Watts performance, and performance-focused electric all-wheel drive (eAWD). You can reserve a Chevy Blazer EV right now, with most trims set to be released in Summer 2023, with certain trims to come out in the following months. The Chevy Equinox EV One of the most important things about moving toward an all-electric lineup is that vehicles need to be accessible to a wide range of drivers. Both the Bolt EV and Bolt EUV hit that mark right now, but in the years to come, they’ll be joined by the Chevy Equinox EV. This stylish and impressive all-electric SUV will be offered in numerous trims, providing an option to meet a wide range of budgets. Just as the standard Equinox is a great family-friendly SUV, the Equinox EV will bring all-electric performance into the lives of many drivers. Fantastic safety features like automatic emergency braking and a forward collision alert will be standard on the Equinox EV, with options like the Super Cruise feature also available. With eAWD, the Equinox EV will be able to go from 0 to 60 in about 6.0 seconds, produce 290 hp, and tow up to 1,500 lbs. The only real downside of the Equinox is that you can’t reserve one right now, though reservations should open soon since it’s expected to start hitting the road in Fall 2023. Come visit us at North Park Chevrolet or give us a call if you’re interested in one of the Chevy Bolt models, want to reserve the Silverado or Blazer, or want to get the latest updates about the Equinox. We're here to help you join our EV revolution with our amazing lineup of all-electric vehicles.
