For over 100 years, Chevrolet has been setting trends in the automotive world. From sports cars like the Corvette to the Silverado series of full-size and heavy-duty pickup trucks, you could always count on Chevy to set trends. This is why it was no surprise when the brand bucked the trend among automakers to come out with specialized models of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and chose instead to offer two of its most popular SUVs with a BEV option. The Blazer EV and Equinox EV give drivers the option of saying goodbye to the gas pump while driving in a model that they have come to know and love.

The 2025 Blazer EV is the model’s second year, and Chevy is already working to make things even better than before. This is another aspect of the brand that has been a hallmark since it was founded. The place to go for a 2025 Chevy Blazer EV is North Park Chevrolet. We are an authorized Chevy dealership, which means we can get you the car, truck, SUV, or BEV you desire from this brand, with all of the features you need in your next vehicle. Come in today and see why no other midsize BEV SUV can compare to the Blazer EV.

The Blazer EV Offers a Variety of Performance Options

Like the 2024 model, the 2025 Blazer EV offers a number of powertrain options. However, it adds a third to the original two offered in 2024, along with an entirely new trim level. This gives you more options, as well as improved performance across the model. The LT and RS models return for the sophomore year of the Blazer EV. The LT rides on a set of 19-inch wheels, while the RS has more sport styling, riding on 21-inch wheels. While the LT is all-wheel drive only, if you opt for the RS, you can also choose a rear-wheel drive one as well. The newest edition is an SS trim that has its own powertrain, as well as 22-inch multi-finish wheels.

The main powertrain for the 2025 Blazer EV LT and RS is a dual-motor AWD. This places a motor in front while equipping the rear axle with an induction AC motor. This delivers a combined output of 300 hp and 355 lb-ft of torque. This is an increase of 12 hp and 22 lb-ft of torque over the same powertrain in the 2024 model.

The dual motors on the 2025 Blazer EV are powered by a liquid-cooled 85 kWh lithium-ion battery pack located in the Blazer EV’s lower frame. This is part of the Ultium platform, and it makes it easy to access the battery for servicing while also making sure you don’t lose any interior space inside your vehicle. Placing it in the lower frame also provides better protection in case of a collision, as the frame is the strongest part of the vehicle. The Blazer EV with the dual motor powertrain has an estimated range of 283 miles on a fully charged battery pack.

The Blazer EV RS also comes with a single-motor RWD system. This locates the motor in the rear axle to provide greater range and performance than the dual motor version. This is due in part to the fact that the RWD RS has a more powerful battery pack, a 102 kWh liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery. This will give you 340 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. As a result, it can go from 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds, compared to the dual motor, which takes 6.1 seconds to reach 60 mph. It also has an improved range of 324 miles on a full charge.

The newest trim on the Blazer EV is the SS. This one is not for the faint of heart. The Blazer EV SS features a dual-motor AWD powertrain that produces an incredible 557 hp and 648 lb-ft of torque. This model features the same 102 kWh liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery pack as the RWD RS model. However, it can go from 0-60 mph in less than four seconds using the Wide Open Watts setting. You will also get up to 290 miles of range on a fully charged battery. While all three trims deliver solid performance, the 2025 Blazer EV SS is the one to choose if you have a need for speed.

You Can Charge Your Blazer EV at Home or on the Road

Chevy makes it easy to keep your 2025 Blazer EV charged up. Each model comes with an 11.5 kW capable onboard charging module. This allows you to charge your Blazer EV’s battery while out on the road at any public DC fast charging station or at home if you have a Level 2 charger professionally installed. All you need to do while out on the road is to hook your Blazer EV up to the charging station chord. Chevy estimates that you can get as much as 78 miles of range on your Blazer EV in just 10 minutes of charging time. Keep in mind that the models with the 85 kWh battery are up to 150 kW at DC fast-charging stations, while the ones with the larger 102 kWh battery are capable of up to 190 kW, which can affect charging times. Chevy currently has a network of over 231,000 DC fast charging stations across the United States and Canada, so you should have no problem finding one near you using the myChevrolet mobile app.

One of the benefits of charging at home using a Level 2 charger is that you don’t have to spend any time out of your busy day charging your Blazer EV. Instead, you can plug your vehicle in overnight and wake it up the next morning with a fully charged battery. You can get an estimated 30 miles of range for each hour that your Blazer EV is plugged into your Level 2 home charger. That would take a little over eight hours to charge the Blazer EV SS and the 85 kWh Dual Motor models, and about 10 hours to fully charge the battery on the Blazer EV RS RWD.

There is one other benefit to charging your Blazer EV at home. Chevy offers vehicle-to-home bidirectional charging with the GM Energy PowerShift Charger. In the event of a power outage at your house, the lithium-ion battery pack on your Blazer EV can be used as a generator to power some of the electrical appliances and lights in your home. This can come in handy if you live in an area or neighborhood that is subject to frequent outages due to weather or other issues.

Stay Informed and Connected, Wherever You Go

The 2025 Chevy Blazer EV features an infotainment system on a 17.7-inch, advanced color LCD display. This is larger than the 10.2-inch screen featured on other models of the 2025 Blazer. The infotainment system on the Blazer EV features Google built-in capability so that you can get turn-by-turn directions with real-time traffic updates. This will help you plan the quickest and easiest route to your destination. In addition to navigation, it gives you access to such apps as Spotify and Google Assistant.

In addition, if you pair your phone to the system using Bluetooth, you can find the nearest charging station on your myChevrolet app while safely making hands-free calls and texts. The standard Wi-Fi hotspot will allow you and your passengers to stay connected wherever you go, while the wireless phone charger that comes standard on the RS and SS trims can keep you charged up, even if you left your phone’s charging cables at home. The wireless charging pad is available as an optional feature on the LT trim.
