With the base configuration, the 2025 Equinox EV is equipped with an 85 kWh battery and a single motor, creating a combined output of 220 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque. Models carrying the single motor operate on a Front-Wheel Drivetrain (FWD), and the travel range is exceptional, getting up to 319 miles on a full charge.
The other 2025 Equinox EV powertrain uses the same battery but with an additional motor. The dual motor setup provides an excellent performance boost, with equipped models outputting 300 hp and 355 lb-ft of torque – an increase of 36% and 46%, respectively. You'll notice more power, but the 2025 Equinox EV remains a smooth ride with a responsive acceleration not commonly found on gasoline-powered compact SUVs. All-wheel drive (AWD) comes standard with Equinox EV models equipped with dual motors, making handling better, especially on wet surfaces. A fully-charged battery on dual-motor models can achieve up to 285 miles of distance traveled, which is an understandable trade-off for the leap in performance.

A Level 1 charger comes standard, but for the fastest at-home results, an optional Level 2 charger operating under 240V of power delivers up to 11.5 kW of charging.
Charging

Again, the kinetic energy from slowing your vehicle down is placed back into your battery for additional mileage.

Interior
The 2025 Equinox EV is one of the most feature-rich Chevy vehicles. Inside the SUV, a 6-way manual driver's seat is standard, though the base model offers an 8-way power-adjustable seat that comes standard with the RS. The power-adjustable chair comes standard with 2-way power-adjustable lumbar controls, which are also available for the front-seat passenger. Both trims offer a heated steering wheel, but the RS' steering wheel is a flat-bottom design, creating a sporty appearance. The material of your seats is either cloth or an available Evotex.
Both of the 2025 Equinox EV trims can be fitted with the available Convenience Package II. With the package equipped, the front-seat passenger's chair becomes a 6-way power-adjustable seat with 2-way power-lumbar controls, and both front seats are heated and ventilated. The Convenience Package II is also great if you share your Equinox EV with a household member, thanks to memory presets for both the driver seat position and side-view mirrors.
Other features included with the package include a rear camera mirror you can activate to show you what's behind your car without the view obstruction from the rear row––a built-in washer is included to keep the lens clean from dirt, grime, and other debris. A Head-Up display is added with the Convenience Package II, along with 21-inch wheels, LED headlights, and LED daytime running lamps, making your presence on the road more known without interfering with another driver's vision. Dual-zone automatic climate control is available for the 2025 Equinox EV and is a part of the package. This feature allows each side of the cabin to have individualized climate controls.
Infotainment
Your 2025 Equinox EV's dashboard won't feature traditional analog gauges because Chevy has taken an all-digital approach to keep with the contemporary theme of the BEV. The 2025 Equinox EV also comes standard with 5G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot capability for high-speed wireless internet access wherever you bring your vehicle.

Driver-Assist Features

Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning comes standard with the 2025 Equinox EV. If you begin to accidentally enter the wrong lane by driving over the markings and you aren't utilizing either turn signal, your 2025 Equinox EV notifies you that you need to correct your steering. If you're unable to correct your steering swiftly enough after receiving the warning, the vehicle slightly adjusts your steering to help bring you back into your intended lane. With Chevy Safety Assist standard, each 2025 Equinox EV is equipped with IntelliBeam automatic high beams. When no cars are heading in your direction, your Equinox EV's high beams turn on to increase your vision in low-light situations, and when a vehicle is detected, the lights will turn off before reactivating once the road ahead is clear.
The last standard feature of Chevy Safety Assist is a Following Distance Indicator. If you're driving behind another vehicle and it stops, the Following Distance Indicator tells you how many seconds are between you and the other vehicle. The Following Distance Indicator is useful if you opt for using Adaptive Cruise Control because it regulates speed based on the time metric detected by the Following Distance Indicator. An optional safety feature is Enhanced Auto Parking Assist, which is an automatic parallel parking software so that you never have to deal with that annoying task again. Available HD Surround Vision, which is a high-quality camera feed showing your surroundings, even from a top-down view, makes reversing out of a parking space less dangerous.
Super Cruise
The Equinox EV launching around when Chevy Super Cruise began rolling out couldn't have been better timing because the two are a match made in heaven. Chevy Super Cruise is a software that offers hands-free driving on a huge network of compatible highways and roads across North America. Over 750,000 miles of roads have been registered to Super Cruise, and when you're driving your 2025 Equinox EV on any compatible road, the top of your steering wheel reveals a solid green bar indicating the road works with Super Cruise.
Once you've activated Super Cruise, your Equinox EV handles the trip as long as you stay on compatible roads. If you want to switch lanes, flick the turn signal on left or right, and your car intelligently waits for an opportune time to shift over. The vehicle will change lanes independently if driving around stopped vehicles is an available option.
