2025 Chevy Colorado

If you're looking for a midsize truck to add to your personal inventory or want one as your daily driver, right now is a great time to make your move. The 2025 Chevy Colorado is one of the best options on the market today, and you can get yours here at North Park Chevrolet. In fact, it has been named the MotorTrend Truck of the Year not once but three times. It's clear that this truck has what it takes.

The Chevy Colorado was redesigned in 2023, offering new styling—both inside and out—and new powertrain options. Since then, the brand has also introduced a new off-road-ready trim and a few other changes to ensure it continues to stay at the top. When it comes to the 2025 Colorado, the engine lineup has been streamlined, features reworked, and the Trail Boss and Z71 trims come standard with the Advanced Trailering package. One thing that hasn't changed is the wide range of options to consider when choosing the right Colorado for you. This is where our team can help the most, ensuring all your questions are answered in order to find the best fit. Having a knowledgeable team on your side is key, especially when you consider that you have five trim levels to choose from. Additionally, you will need to determine if you want a two-wheel or four-wheel drive, as the WT and LT trims give you the option of either.

The Chevy Colorado is a great option for drivers in our area who want an efficient and reliable vehicle that offers dynamic functionality without the bulk of a full-size truck. You will find that the Colorado's size makes it perfect to navigate tighter turns, streets, parking lots, and trails, while still offering the power to tow ATVs or campers. Not only that, but the brand's reputation for producing long-lasting vehicles makes it an appealing choice for business owners.

Standout Features

Fresh off its 2024 MotorTrend Truck of the Year win, the 2025 Chevy Colorado may leave you wondering what the brand did to ensure the truck continues to turn heads. First and foremost, the Colorado offers best-in-class bed and tailgate functionality as well as best-in-class ground clearance—and that's just the start.

Along with offering 17 available tie-downs in the bed, the available StowFlex tailgate could be considered a work of art. A mid-position tailgate that's able to support 500 lbs and an available built-in 120V power outlet are also on offer to give you the most flexibility in your truck bed. That power outlet is perfect if you're doing yardwork and want to charge your phone while listening to the game or if you're building the perfect hideout for the kids and need to power up your equipment. At the job site, this functionality ensures your team is able to keep working seamlessly. Even better? Cargo bed lighting and a measurement tool built into the tailgate are smart features that you might not have even realized you needed until now.

Speaking of things you might not have realized you needed, the Colorado's list of features that keep you connected on the road is lengthy—including standard Google built-in and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. These features work together to ensure you have access to connections, playlists, turn-by-turn directions, and more. Plus, there's a standard 11.3-inch diagonal center touchscreen, available wireless charging, and segment-first available underbody cameras.

Those underbody cameras give you the confidence you need to tackle trails or simply navigate unpaved areas better, and they're not the only views offered. In total, there are ten available camera views, ensuring you gain enhanced sightlines all around the truck. When you add these features to the five available drive modes, it's easy to see why the Colorado is at the top of its class. When appropriately equipped, you can turn a dial to access Off-Road Mode—which is perfect for grassy, muddy, or graveled areas—Terrain Mode for steep hills and crawling over obstacles, Tow/Haul, or Normal Mode. The fifth available drive mode—Baja Mode— is specific to the ZR2 trim and allows you to tackle sandy terrain with ease.

Towing and Trail Tackling

When choosing a truck, many drivers have towing or off-roading in mind, if not both. If this sounds familiar, you're in luck, as the Colorado allows you to do both. First, there are the available five drive modes, giving you confidence whether you're faced with sandy, rocky, or muddy conditions. Second, you gain the confidence you need to navigate wherever and whenever with up to ten camera views (including two under-body cameras) and up to 4.5 inches of ground clearance. Third, the Colorado can tow up to 7,700 lbs, which is more than enough for many drivers.

The most off-roading power comes from three trims in the lineup: the Trail Boss, the Z71, and the ZR2, with available Bison Edition. For the ZR2 Bison in particular, you will find that it comes with 35-inch OD (off-duty) MT (mud terrain) tires, a 12.2-inch ground clearance, and five Boron Steel skid plates. The tires in question are designed to take on rugged and muddy terrain, offering enhanced traction control and performance when off-roading.

Regarding towing, the Colorado offers an Advanced Trailering package that comes with a two-inch receiver hitch, a seven-pin sealed connector, an integrated trailer brake controller, an in-vehicle Trailering App, and an automatic locking rear differential. Hitch Guidance and Hitch View are standard on all trims, but Blind Zone Steering Assist with Trailering is included in the Advanced Trailering Package to ensure not only convenience but more safety for you and your trailer while on the road. This package is an available option when choosing the WT or LT trims, but it is a standard feature for the Z71 and Trail Boss trims. The maximum towing capacity for this package is 7,700 lbs.

When it comes to the in-vehicle Trailering App, you will find a number of tools, including access to the available camera views mentioned above. Those tools help ensure your trailer is ready to go by offering predeparture checklists, monitoring tire pressure, testing trailer lights, and more.

Safety Features

The 2025 Chevy Colorado is an ideal option for a wide range of drivers, from those who commute to work each day to those using the truck at work to those who are new behind the wheel. Regardless of the "why," you will want to make sure the drive is safe from beginning to end. The Chevy brand understands the importance of safety, which is one reason they prioritize it in all their vehicles. For the Colorado, you will find that the truck is equipped with many standard driver assist features, including the following:

  • Forward Collision Alert: This system alerts you to a possible collision at the front end of the truck.
  • Automatic Emergency Braking: When the Forward Collision Alert system is activated, this system also comes into play, applying the brakes automatically if you're unable to react in time. The goal of this system is to avoid the collision altogether. If that's not possible, its purpose transitions to minimizing damage or injuries.
  • Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking: When a pedestrian or cyclist is detected in the roadway, this system applies the brakes to ensure a collision doesn't take place.
  • Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning: This system helps ensure you remain in your lane, alerting you if you shift too far from the center. These alerts are not just visual and audible. You will also feel a slight tug on the steering wheel to help you get back into your lane.
  • Following Distance Indicator: The purpose of this system is to ensure you stay a safe distance away from the vehicle ahead of you. In doing so, you have more time to react to changes in traffic flow.
  • IntelliBeam Auto High Beams: The IntelliBeam system scans the road ahead to ensure you have the appropriate light you need to better navigate while also monitoring for oncoming traffic so the high beams can be turned off when needed.

These are just the standard safety features the Colorado offers. Our team can explore these with you as well as review any available features, such as Blind Zone Steering Assist with Trailering, Rear Pedestrian Alert, and HD Surround Vision, if you are interested in more active safety features for your daily drive.
