Used Truck Dealership

Welcome to North Park Chevrolet! As a used truck dealership, you can find your next truck at North Park! This is an exciting time to be purchasing a used truck because the past decade has shown us the best trucks in automotive history. No matter what model year you buy, you're in for a treat. We love talking about trucks, so whether you're looking at a truck for the first time ever or whether you're a long-term truck lover, we're happy to get into the details with you. Come test us on our knowledge! Our sales team knows what they're talking about, and we're here to help you find the vehicle that is just right for you. While there are a lot of great trucks on the market right now, no two trucks are the same, so it is important to identify exactly what it is that you and your family most need in a vehicle. We love our Chevy's here at North Park, but we understand that sometimes there is a specific feature you need from another brand. If that's what you need, then we'll sell it to you! We carry all kinds of used trucks, not just Chevy's.

Our Lineup

Come take a look at our used truck lot, and you may be surprised at what you see; we carry many makes and models, so you'll find the right truck here at North Park. We believe that Chevy does it best, but that doesn't mean that there are not other brands that do it well, and we want you to have full and easy access to the dynamic array of trucks currently on the market. Whether you're looking for a Chevy Silverado 1500, a Ford F-150, a Ram 1500, a Toyota Tacoma, or a Nissan Titan, we'll get you set up and ready to go.

Part of this variety of used trucks we offer is due simply to the fact that different brands have different strong suits and focus on different elements. However, it is important to understand the distinction between the two dominant types of trucks on the market: full-size trucks and midsize trucks. Most brands build both sizes, giving you even more used truck options to choose from here at North Park Chevrolet.

Full-Size Trucks

Full-size trucks, for many people, offer the perfect balance. A heavy-duty pickup may seem like more trouble than it's worth to some people, and a midsize pickup just doesn't have the power. A full-size pickup provides a vehicle that is capable of being a workhorse without being an absolute monster.

A favorite full-size pickup of ours is the Chevy Silverado 1500. This truck may be one of the most iconic in pickup history and is certainly one of the most iconic trucks currently on the market. Why? Because Chevy is a brand that innovatively integrates the components which make up the driving experience: performance, design, and technology. The Silverado 1500 is a premier example of Chevy's brilliant integration, as it provides some of the highest performance specs you'll find in a full-size pickup, has the potential to be a luxury vehicle thanks to its ever-increasing design features, and includes Chevy's premium technology.

Technology is important in a pickup, especially in a full-size pickup, and the Silverado 1500 provides a great deal of technology which makes connectivity, entertainment, safety, and towing all much easier. Chevy really excels in safety technology, and the Silverado 1500 is the beneficiary of this excellence. Going beyond safety technology, the Silverado 1500 is renowned for its marvelous towing technology. You'll want to talk to one of our staff members in more detail about the specific model year you're purchasing to make sure that you have access to this premium technology! We don't think there's ever been a bad Silverado 1500 on the market, so no matter what year you buy, you'll be in for the ride of a lifetime.

Similar to the Silverado 1500 is the Ford F-150, which is an extremely strong performer; if performance specs are your thing, you'll be very pleased with what you find in the F-150. Whether it's towing, off-roading, or just sheer horsepower, you'll find that capability in a used F-150. Another strong performer is the Nissan Titan; this fantastic truck has been a champion for years now, and it combines excellent performance specs with Nissan's iconic flair for luxury design cues. If you want something that bridges the gap between luxury vehicle and workhorse, a used Titan may just be the truck for you.

Full-size trucks are so much fun, as they provide the best in automotive engineering and capability. We know you'll be able to find the right fit here in our full-size truck inventory! But full-size trucks are not the only used trucks we have in stock. If you're looking for something a little bit smaller, then we've got something for you.

Midsize Trucks

Maybe you're not looking for a full-size model. Hey, that's alright! There's a time and a place for everything, and sometimes it is neither the time nor the place for a full-size truck. There are a good number of reasons to get excited about midsize pickups because their purpose is not the same as a full-size truck.

A good midsize pickup is excellent for smaller jobs, recreation, urban excursions, and much more. Its smaller size makes it easier to park and maneuver in crowded environments and sometimes makes it easier to seek adventure and explore tight trails. But don't think that the size of these trucks prevents them from being good performers.

On the contrary, many midsize pickups will blow your mind! Coming back to our favorite brand, the Chevy Colorado provides trendy architecture and design with highly-capable performance specs. But even more exciting than the specs is the Colorado's ability to hit the trails. This midsize pickup is known for its off-roading trims, which can take your trucking experience from serious work to serious play. You'll want to learn more about these off-roading trims. If you've never set out on an off-roading adventure before, the Colorado may be the perfect vehicle in which to take your maiden voyage.

If you're looking for a midsize pickup that puts performance at the forefront, then a used GMC Canyon may be a good fit for you! GMC does trucking incredibly well, and its midsize pickups take all of the excellence of its full-size pickups and fits it into a nicely-compact midsize truck. If luxury design is something you're looking for, a used Canyon Denali will appeal to you, as the trim's focus is fantastically refined features.

Because we mentioned the F-150 and the Titan, it is worth noting that both Ford and Nissan have excellent midsize options as well. With the Ford Ranger, you'll find the excellent engineering and technology of the F-150 but in a proportion and format suitable to a midsize pickup. With iconic Ford engineering, there is a reason that the Ranger is a very sought-after midsize truck. Likewise, the Nissan Frontier is a highly-capable midsize truck that also incorporates Nissan's luxury design cues in a more compact trucking experience. The Ranger and the Frontier are perfect for those looking to do more recreational-based trucking, as the Ranger offers exciting trims for off-roading opportunities and the Frontier offers a luxurious in-vehicle experience.

But, again, if you know what you need and you're looking for something else, we'll get you set up. Just let us know what you need!

Heavy Duty Trucks

While new and pre-owned full-size and midsize trucks dominate the market, sometimes you still need more. A lot more. More power and more performance. A heavy-duty pickup truck provides an extra set of helping hands on the job site. If your days often involve industrial hauling and towing, a heavy-duty truck is the workhorse you're looking for. Chevy makes some impressive trucks, so if you're looking for more than an everyday ride, there are a few beasts ready to help out, with their two most notable models being the Silverado 2500 and Silverado 3500.

Both models are a step up from Chevy's iconic Silverado 1500, which is famous in its own right for being one of the top-performing light-duty trucks on the market. Chevy is a brand known for its impressive engineering and performance vehicles. Their heavy-duty Silverado 2500 and 3500 trucks are prime examples of what Chevy can produce. More recent model years offer a few engine options for a variety of towing and hauling capabilities, which include gas and diesel-powered engines.

What would all this power be without some prime safety features? Chevy puts drivers first, delivering exceptional safety and driver assist features via its Chevy Safety Assist suite that make the job site safer for you and your passengers. The 2500 and 3500 come brimming with features to make jobs like trailering easier and more efficient. With a handful of cameras providing a variety of views, you can see your truck's exterior from all angles, making it easy to back into tight spaces or keep an eye on what's happening behind you.

Need help determining which level of power you need? If you're in the market for a used heavy-duty truck, we want to make sure you're getting everything you need. Talk to our sale team and make sure you're getting a truck with the power you need to tackle the challenges you face every day. Looking for the toughest bunch Chevy has to offer? Then you've come to the right place because, at North Park Chevrolet, we have the power you're looking for and then some. Don't settle for less when you can find all you need in one of Chevy's top-performing work trucks.

It's also worth noting that besides Chevy, we carry a wide range of premium quality used work trucks to fit your job and your budget. That's right! We don't just stop with Chevy when there's a whole world of amazing heavy-duty trucks ready to pick up the slack and lend a helping hand; Ford, Nissan, and Jeep, to name a few. Stop in and talk to our knowledgeable sales staff to find the perfect capabilities to meet your daily challenges head-on.

Financing a Used Truck

Looking at all the great cars on the lot or reading about the latest tech features can be exciting. The thrill of buying a new vehicle never gets old. This means it's only natural to forget or ignore the elephant in the room; financing. Instead of thinking about financing last, considering it first is the best way to ensure you're able to afford the car or truck of your dreams while avoiding disappointment.

Purchasing a used truck can save you the pain of a heavy brand-new price tag. We don't always have the option to pay straight out with cash; that's where financing comes in. However, it's important to ensure you're getting a good deal with reasonable rates to avoid paying too much in interest, making your great used deal more expensive in the long run than a brand-new vehicle would be.

When you're thinking about taking out a loan for a used vehicle, there are helpful questions you can ask to get the best loan for your budget. Taking out a used car loan is very similar to taking out a new car one, but as with anything, there are always a few differences here and there that you should be on the lookout for. They say knowledge is power, and when it comes to securing a quality car loan, we couldn't agree more.

What About My Credit Score?

Knowing your credit score is an easy step to take when you start thinking about getting a used car loan. Knowing your credit score can help you budget and give you an idea of the loan terms and interest rates to expect. A low credit score can mean less than stellar terms, like a higher payment and a shorter time period. Knowing your credit score helps you keep your expectations realistic and avoid disappointment.

What Are My Loan Options?

Researching your options is a great place to start when considering a car loan. Researching area banks, national banks, credit unions, and lenders are a great way to get an idea of what's available to you. Find out what types of credit banks offer, and if there are any types of car loans they don't offer. You can find out if you are eligible and read about any terms or conditions the bank or credit union offers.

Should I Get Pre-approved?

When you're getting ready to buy a used vehicle, filling out a credit application to get pre-approved can save you frustration and time waiting around at the dealership. Many dealers offer credit applications on their websites to make it quick and easy for customers to get pre-approved before coming to the dealer.

What About the Fine Print?

It's always important to make sure you read the fine print whenever you're making a large investment. A good rule of thumb is to look at offers from three different dealerships. Comparing and contrasting different offers is a great way to see what's available and what works best for your budget. Reading the fine print always helps bring up red flags like confusing language or misleading statements.

If you have a low credit score, securing a long-term car loan that goes past six years can often come with risks like higher than average interest rates. This means your vehicle will cost you big in the long run. Keep an eye out for loans with high-interest rates, as they can quickly become debt traps that can be tough to get out of.
