What makes Leon Valley special to you? Do you love its small size and its convenient location just outside the bustling metropolis of San Antonio? Do you appreciate the fact that it’s a gateway to attractions like Six Flags Fiesta Texas and SeaWorld? For the team here at North Park Chevrolet, we love that we get to serve you and thousands of others in the city as your leading Leon Valley Chevy dealership.

We take great pride in serving the Leon Valley community and carrying the Chevy brand. Chevrolet’s rich history in the automotive industry started in the early 1900s when racecar driver Louis Chevrolet and businessman William C. Durant set out to build an affordable, high-performance vehicle. Since then, Chevrolet has built its reputation for delivering affordable vehicles that are reliable, capable, versatile, and innovative. This is what it means to invest in a Chevy, and we hope you’ll invest in us, too.

You can find your new or used Chevy right here at North Park Chevrolet, a dealership where you always come first. We’re the highest-rated Chevy dealer in the San Antonio area, which says a lot about who we are and how we serve our customers. Our many accolades like our 2019 Dealer of Excellence Award from J.D. Power and our 2020 Top Rated Dealer title on Car Gurus add to our reputation and show you that we put our words into action. We’re not your average Chevy dealer; we’re your Chevy family that’s ready to help you find the perfect Chevy for your needs.

We Work for You

What can North Park Chevrolet do for Leon Valley residents? How many times have you visited a car dealership only to leave frustrated and empty-handed? High-pressure sales tactics are a quick turnoff for many customers, not to mention the frustration that comes when a dealer doesn't clearly post prices on every vehicle. Does this sound familiar?

As veterans in the automotive industry, we have a lot to offer our Leon Valley customers. Our extensive inventory of new and used Chevys eliminates the need to shop around at multiple dealerships to find the perfect car, truck, or SUV. We know that every customer comes to us with a unique set of needs, and that's why we take great care in selecting our inventory so that there's something for every driving style and budget. Instead of spending countless hours driving from one dealership to another, start and end your search with us.

Beyond our vast inventory, we're here to work for you so that you can enjoy the experience of buying a Chevy. We're interested in learning more about your driving needs and your budget so that we can help you narrow your search. Throughout the process, you'll find that our transparent pricing leaves little to question and gives you the confidence you deserve to have in your purchase and in our team. We're not here with sales gimmicks or high-pressure sales tactics; we're here to share your passion for the Chevy brand and help you make a wise investment in your future on the road.

The Chevy Brand

How well do you know the Chevy brand? Did you know that the first Chevrolet, the Series C Classic Six, wasn't a huge success? Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant set out to build an affordable, high-performance car, but the Classic Six was neither. Despite offering rare luxuries like an electric starter and electric headlamps, the Classic Six was expensive and sluggish, ultimately forcing Durant back to the drawing board, where he came up with successful models like the Series H, Series 490, and Series D. This initial failure laid the foundation for Chevy's future success and its role as one of America's "Big Three" automakers.

Since its inception, Chevy has established its reputation around its ingenuity. Chevy's small-block V8 engine is a great example of this in-house ingenuity and vastly impacted the automotive industry, ultimately bringing Louis Chevrolet's high-performance dreams to life. Today, those innovations look a little different on the Chevy lineup and extend from hands-free driving tools and connectivity features to expansive camera views and a multifunction tailgate that's revolutionizing how drivers use their trucks.

You can find these innovations and countless others throughout the Chevy fleet, which makes shopping for a used or new Chevrolet even more exciting. The best-selling Tahoe and Suburban are resplendent with conveniences that transform the SUVs into capable family haulers, while trucks like the Silverado will meet and exceed all your expectations of a workhorse with a host of innovative tools that allow you to work smarter, not harder. Icons like the Camaro and Corvette continue Chevy's legacy and satiate the need for speed, while a host of SUVs and crossovers like the Equinox, Blazer, Trax, and Traverse add versatility to the bowtie brand's remarkable fleet.

The Chevy Silverado 1500

The Chevy Silverado is held as one of the best trucks on the market and one of the best trucks in automotive history. First appearing as a trim in 1975, the Silverado officially joined the Chevy lineup in 1999. Upon its introduction, The Silverado shook up the truck market by offering heightened aerodynamics. With over twenty years of practice, the Silverado continues to shake up the truck market to this very day.&

The Silverado offers performance specs unlike its competitors, with recent model years reaching 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. With these impressive performance specs come highly-capable amounts of towing and payload capacity, which are significantly aided by the Silverado's premium technology. Chevy is a leader in the technology sector, and all its vehicles benefit from this, but the Silverado benefits in a special way.

The Silverado's towing technology is among the finest in the industry, and its unique use of cameras enables you to have a full-bodied understanding of your surroundings. Between the capability of the truck and the towing technology, you'll be amazed at just how easy towing can be. The Silverado 1500 is a truck above other trucks.

The Chevy Silverado 2500 HD and 3500 HD

The Silverado is never content with merely being a great truck; it is always focused on being an excellent truck. In 2007, the Silverado took the leap from great to excellent with the introduction of its heavy-duty models: the 2500 HD and the 3500 HD.

The Silverado 1500 is ideal for domestic truck use, the 3500 HD is ideal for industrial truck use, and the 2500 HD is ideal for the in-between. The leap from the 1500 to the 2500 HD will give you hundreds more lb-ft of torque and thousands more pounds of towing and payload capacity. The leap from 2500 HD to 3500 HD is so significant that it will truly blow your mind. These heavy-duty models shatter your preconceived notions of what a pickup truck could be, and they shatter them in such a delightful way.

These heavy-duty trucks are ideal for anybody looking for trucks to use for small businesses or heavyweight hauling jobs. The Silverado is an amazing truck by all standards, but the 2500 HD and the 3500 HD just go further in the way of performance than their standard version. These work trucks focus on cultivating the practical features which make your work life significantly easier. The Silverado's dynamic and highly-flexible (and very strong) bed allows you to work in an easier, more user-friendly way than you've experienced in a pickup before.

Additionally, Chevy uses its premium technology to give you a highly-connected work experience. We're not talking about basic connectivity and entertainment technology but about Chevrolet's MyChevrolet App, which allows you to connect with your truck and make sure that everything you need to get your work done is all taken care of without even having to get your hands dirty. The Silverado is a workhorse, and its 2500 HD and 3500 HD models are the hardest workers of all the horses.

The Chevy Colorado

Sometimes you need a workhorse. Sometimes you need a work pony. The Colorado employs the same trucking philosophy as the Silverado but keeps it more manageable in a midsize truck. This powerhouse made its big break in the 2004 model year, taking the place of the S-10 pickup truck. The Colorado provided, and continues to provide, for an important market within Chevy's lineup in that it offers a truck better suited to domestic, suburban, and urban life. We love the Silverado 3500 HD and its astonishing performance specs, but its size makes it difficult to maneuver through the streets of Leon Valley. The Colorado, on the other hand, provides amazing capability for a midsize truck, but its comparative compactness makes it much more flexible in tighter environments.

Aside from its trucking capability, the Colorado is also a very exciting off-road vehicle. The Colorado ZR2 takes this spunky truck and transforms it into a true off-road vehicle, ready to tear up the trails. Off-road trucks are very exciting vehicles because they provide the practical capability of the cargo bed and the thrills of off-roading, all in one vehicle. Not to mention the fact that off-roading capabilities certainly have their own practical applications, especially if your work takes you into unknown terrains. The Colorado is highly-capable for a midsize truck, and its off-roading capabilities make it even more functional, whether you're seeking thrills or simply looking to optimize your work.

The Chevy Equinox

Taking a break from trucks for a moment, Chevy is also fantastic in the area of commuter vehicles and SUVs. Not all SUVs are big full-size monsters; the Chevy Equinox is a compact crossover SUV that provides the style of a sporty sedan with the interior capacity of a small SUV. Having entered the scene in the 2005 model year, the Equinox came to serve the needs of young families who are looking to increase in-vehicle space without going all the way to a full-size SUV right away.

The Equinox entered the Chevy lineup during a time when the automotive industry was striving to give vehicles a more liveable interior environment, and the Equinox exemplifies these efforts and stands as an example of effective interior design. Not only is it luxurious, but it provides a fantastic amount of cargo space for young families. Whether you're packing up the stroller for a day at Raymond Rimkus Park or packing up luggage for a family vacation, the cargo space will not go to waste and will be more and more appreciated over time.

The Equinox provides fantastic in-vehicle technology, providing features that help you connect, navigate, and stay safe, and even has the potential to help the kids form safe driving habits once they are the ones behind the wheel. This is a well-rounded compact SUV for anyone looking for a vehicle that is flexible and adaptable over the course of family life.

The Chevy Tahoe and Suburban

The Suburban is the longest-running nameplate in Chevy's history. Having made its official debut in 1935, the Suburban has been a fan favorite for almost a century now, and it is not going anywhere anytime soon. This trusted SUV is often seen leading presidential processions, used as security vehicles, or offered by limousine services because it is a strong SUV that is at the same time a true luxury vehicle. The Tahoe takes everything that is excellent about the Suburban, everything that has made it worthy of such a long-lasting nameplate, and fits it into a slightly more compact (slightly being the keyword, because it is certainly not a compact SUV) body.

The Tahoe was originally introduced in 1995, offering drivers a more manageable option in the SUV sector. Today, the Tahoe is thought of as nearly attached to the Suburban since they are very similar in their design, performance, and technology. The Tahoe is the perfect in-between for those needing something larger than a compact SUV like the Equinox but not quite as large as a top-level SUV like the Suburban. Perhaps the biggest asset of these two SUVs is the absolutely amazing cargo capacity. If you're looking for a vehicle that can load up cargo on the pickup truck level (without being a pickup truck), then there is no question that these are the two vehicles you need to consider.

With leading luxury features and truly innovative technology, these two SUVs continue to lead the SUV market into new territories while offering amazing performance capability. Vehicle nameplates don't thrive for almost a century without earning it. You'll see why the Suburban has earned its status and why the Tahoe is a worthy sibling.
