In a perfect world, you could walk into a car dealership, point at the first vehicle you see, and it would be absolutely ideal for you with everything you want. We don’t live in that world, however, so it takes a bit of research to figure out which model has the features you need before you choose the right one. When it comes to a great Chevy Trax for sale near San Antonio, you have five different trim levels to choose from this year. What’s particularly noteworthy, however, is that these five can be a bit trickier to figure out and navigate than you might expect due to how they’ve been set up and their pricing. Let’s check out the trims for the 2026 Trax, and you’ll see what we mean.
2026 Chevy Trax LS—Starting Features and Options
Even though there are five trims available for the 2026 Trax, we’re going to look at them in three sections, which will make sense as we go. To begin with, however, we have the LS model, which is the starting trim for the Trax, and it establishes all of the standard features that other models build upon. Every Trax comes with a 1.2L turbo engine that provides 137 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque, which is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. This provides you with a great ride that’s perfect for zipping along San Antonio streets; you get an estimated 28 MPG in the city and 32 MPG on the highway for fuel efficiency, too.
The LS features 17-inch wheels, with basic steel wheels standard and nicer Silver-painted aluminum wheels available. You get LED headlamps, automatic on/off headlamp control, and IntelliBeam automatic high beams to help you avoid blinding other drivers. Black caps on the side mirrors are standard, with power-adjustable side mirrors, along with body-color door handles and some nice details across the exterior. A manual rear liftgate is also standard on the LS trim, which makes sense since this is the starting model.
Inside, you’ll find an eight-inch infotainment system with support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a four-speaker sound system. A 3.5-inch Driver Information Center display is included, and you get cloth seating with a six-way driver’s seat, four-way front-passenger seat, and remote keyless entry. This creates a comfortable interior and makes it easy to get in and get going each day. Chevy Safety Assist is standard, and it includes a Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Front Pedestrian Braking. You also get a Following Distance Indicator along with Lane Keep Assist with a Lane Departure Warning to help keep you and others safer on the road each day. All of these standard features are excellent, although they do leave room for upgrades that you’ll find on other trims.

2026 Chevy Trax 1RS and LT—Bold Style and Great Features
If you’re looking for some enhancements beyond the standard features, then both the 1RS and LT trims are great places to start. Where some other models have a clear progression from one trim to the next across the full lineup, the Trax is a little different. You have the LS, but then the 1RS and LT are both offered at the same starting price; similarly, the 2RS and ACTIV trims we’ll look at in a moment also have the same starting price. This essentially gives you three tiers to explore, with a couple of different ways to go on the second and third tiers.
The 1RS is the way to go if you’re interested in some light upgrades and enhancements to the standard features, along with gorgeous styling that will turn heads as you drive around San Antonio each day. You get 18-inch Black aluminum wheels on the 1RS, with a Black grille insert, Black bowtie emblems, and Red RS badging to create distinct pops of color. Inside, you get heated front seats and a heated steering wheel, which is wrapped and features a flat-bottom design. Most notably, the Jet Black/Gray cloth seating with Red accents creates a beautiful cabin that feels great to climb into each day.
If you’re more interested in upgraded features rather than stylish good looks, then the LT is a great one to check out. 17-inch Gray wheels are standard on the LT, along with body-color side mirrors with power-adjust functionality and signature LED daytime running lamps. The interior is the star of the show here, starting with a beautiful 11-inch infotainment display that’s paired with an eight-inch Driver Information Center. You get a six-speaker sound system, cloth and Evotex seating, plus remote start functionality. Available options for the LT include a heated, wrapped steering wheel, a wireless charging pad, and a power sunroof.

2026 Chevy Trax 2RS and ACTIV—Two Pinnacle Options
For the most refined features and options, you have the 2RS and ACTIV models at the top-end for the 2026 Trax, both priced the same to start. The 2RS gives you the gorgeous styling and details of the 1RS, but with numerous upgrades inside and out. Large 19-inch Black wheels make an immediate impression, with the Black grille and bowtie emblems, plus Red RS badging that creates a striking overall look. Inside, you’ll find the 11-inch infotainment screen, eight-inch Driver Information Center, and six-speaker sound system of the LT. With the 2RS, however, you get Jet Black Evotex seating with Red accents that look and feel amazing; this includes an eight-way power driver’s seat with two-way power lumbar for added comfort.
The ACTIV trim provides you with a second great option if you’re interested in the features of the 2RS but you prefer a different overall look. You get 18-inch Black wheels on the ACTIV, along with a body-color grille insert and unique ACTIV badging on the rear that creates a distinct look you won’t find on other models. This is also the only model available with a Cacti Green exterior, which looks great and sets it apart from other SUVs as you drive around San Antonio each day. You get the large displays and excellent features inside, including Jet Black Evotex seating with Yellow accents to create a cabin that you’ll love getting into.
We should also mention the available Driver Confidence Package, offered for both the 2RS and ACTIV trims. This adds Rear Park Assist and a Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which makes backing up easier and safer. You also get a Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert as part of this package, plus Adaptive Cruise Control that adjusts your speed automatically to maintain a safe distance between your Trax and the vehicle ahead of you. This is one of our favorite available packages, which elevates the already-impressive safety tech of the 2026 Trax to the next level.
Great Vehicles for San Antonio Drivers
As you can see, you can’t go wrong with any of the 2026 Chevy Trax models; the right one simply comes down to what you’re looking for in your next SUV. The LS is the perfect place to start and the way to go if you’re trying to stick to a tight budget. Both the 1RS and LT models provide you with a number of upgrades and let you choose between gorgeous style and advanced tech features. With the 2RS and ACTIV trims, you get the purest expression of what the Trax is all about, with two beautiful options that provide you with excellent style and fantastic features inside and out.
