Getting a quality, reliable SUV doesn’t have to come with a high price tag. Here at North Park Chevrolet, we’re proud to be able to offer you fantastic, affordable models like the 2026 Chevy Trax. While this model has the price tag of a budget-friendly vehicle, it doesn’t look or feel like one, with a spacious cabin, a comfortable ride, and a rugged exterior.

We’re here to serve every driver who walks through our doors, helping you find a great option that fits your budget. So today, we’re not just going to highlight this affordable pick—we’re going to focus on its three most affordable trims. You don’t have to move up to a higher trim level to get a well-equipped Trax that will serve you reliably for years to come.

The Three Most Affordable Trims of the 2026 Trax

First, let’s introduce the trims.

The entry-level LS trim is the most affordable, with a starting MSRP of just $21,700. It may not have all the bells and whistles of other variants, but it covers the basics nicely with a well-rounded list of features (as we’ll discuss in more detail below).[a]

If you have the budget for a trim with an MSRP of $23,200, you have two options to choose from, each with a distinct personality. The 1RS has a sporty aesthetic with unique accents inside and out that make it stand out from the rest of the lineup, as well as some comfort upgrades. The LT has some unique styling touches as well, but focuses more on adding extra tech features that make it easy to enjoy any drive, big or small.

Comfort Features That Make Every Ride Enjoyable

Every Trax trim, including the LS, features a comfortable cabin with a spacious rear seat that offers enough legroom for adults to stretch out and enjoy the ride. Up front, you can get your position just how you like it with a six-way manual adjustable driver’s seat and a tilt-and-telescoping steering column. Active noise cancellation keeps the cabin quiet and peaceful, so you can talk with your passengers, listen to music, or just reflect on your thoughts without being distracted by road noise.

Remote Start for All-Weather Convenience

Have you ever walked to your car on a scorching hot afternoon and wished you could turn on the AC from across the parking lot so you could step into a cabin that’s already nice and cool? Upgrade to either the 1RS or the LT trim, and you can do just that with remote start, which also lets you get the heat going early when the weather gets cold.

Heated Seats and Automatic Climate Control

The 1RS has even more cold-weather comforts: heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and heated outside mirrors. These features don’t come standard on the LT, but they can be added with the LT Convenience Package.

However, the LT does have one standard temperature upgrade: automatic climate control. Instead of turning the settings up and down as the cabin fluctuates between too hot and too cold, you can set the temperature you like, and the system will get the cabin to that temperature and maintain it for as long as you want.

Modern Tech to Keep You Connected

If you’re looking for modern tech to keep you entertained and informed on the road, the Trax has you covered. All trims come with convenient features like:

  • Bluetooth streaming for up to two active devices
  • A pair of USB ports (one USB-A and one USB-C) up front
  • Wi-Fi hotspot capability for on-the-go Internet use
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability

On the LS and 1RS trims, the infotainment system uses an eight-inch diagonal color touchscreen to control everything. Behind the wheel, you can see important information on a 3.5-inch diagonal driver information center.

Upgraded Tech in the LT Trim

Opt for the LT trim and the whole system gets a big upgrade. An 11-inch diagonal HD touchscreen sits in the center of the dashboard, and an eight-inch diagonal fully-digital driver information center makes it easy to see everything from safety warnings to navigational directions at a glance. You’ll get an extra pair of charge-only USB ports to keep all your devices ready for action, and any music you play gets a boost from an extra two speakers, bringing the total to six spread throughout the cabin.

Smart Safety for Every Drive

Everyone deserves to feel safe behind the wheel of their vehicle, so Chevy makes the bulk of its safety and driver-assist features standard across the lineup. In addition to basics like airbags, a LATCH system for car seats, and an HD rear camera, every 2026 Trax also comes standard with:

  • Forward Collision Alert
  • Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Front Pedestrian Braking
  • Following Distance Indicator
  • Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning
  • IntelliBeam Automatic High-Beam Headlights
  • Following Distance Indicator
  • Buckle to Drive
  • Teen Driver

That last one makes the Trax an especially good choice for parents looking for a family car. When it’s time for your little ones to start learning to drive, you can make use of a suite of guardrails to make sure they form good habits and don’t go too fast or blast the radio too loud.

There’s even an in-vehicle report card to let you know how they did while driving independently. You can link all of these features to a specific key fob, so you can simply have a dedicated key for adults and one for kids, making everything simple.

Bold Design With Sporty and Refined Options

Overall, the Trax has the bold styling Chevy’s SUVs are known for. A sleek roofline is paired with sharp bodywork contouring, and the grille up front serves as a focal point with the iconic Chevy bowtie at its center. Inside, the airy cabin has a nice layout and is full of soft-touch materials that make it comfortable and cozy.

Sporty 1RS Design

If you enjoy sporty flair, the 1RS is your ticket to race-inspired aesthetics. The exterior has several black accents, from the Chevy bowtie emblems in the front and rear to the grille to the high-gloss sideview mirror caps. The red RS badges pop against this black, just as the available red accents in the interior pop against the jet-black cloth seats. A wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel is the finishing touch.

Refined LT Styling and Features

The LT trim has a more classically upscale look, with body-color sideview mirrors and a mix of cloth and Evotex trim on the seats that’s both comfortable and classy. If you like the LT trim but prefer the black exterior accents of the 1RS, you can add the Midnight Edition package to darken things up.

Some standard features on the LT are both functional and fashionable, like the roof-mounted side rails, which add visual contrast while giving you more options for cargo storage. A cargo cover for the rear of the interior can give the cabin a clean look while also keeping your things out of the sight of passersby when you’re parked in public.
